With 2500 unique visitors in its first month online, TLMCentral is off to a great start. It’s time to take the next step and add an open-source community to the portal. In November we will enable users to share open-source models with the TLMCentral community. This should help further proliferate transaction-level modeling to boost virtual prototyping productivity.

As part of the launch for the open-source community we will start a monthly modeling competition. Each month we will ask for a particular model or type of model. At the end of the month, the contributor whose model receives the highest user rating will win an iPad2. So look out for the first contest announcement in the coming weeks. And of course, far beyond the prize, there is the name and fame you will get by winning one of the modeling competitions ;-). So let’s keep the momentum going and change the modeling question from “Is there a model available?” to “Which model should I use?”
